We all have school stories, some good others bad which we’ll rather
forget about.
Your favorite celebrity is no exception. They have their own school stories. Some had some interesting stories back in school, some also have some
happy stories and we’ll share that with you today.
1. Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku
In 2014, news got out that radio and TV personality, Naa Ashorkor had
failed her exams at the Law school and therefore couldn’t graduate. However,
with hard work, she finally graduated this year.
2. MzVee
I don’t know how a lecturer will mark you down because he feels you
don’t have much time for your studies. Anyway, that’s what Ghanaian musician, MzVee is telling us. According to the petite
BET Best African Act nominee, she’s going to enroll in an online programme to
complete her course. She says this will allow her some flexibility to tackle
both music and her books.
3. Sandra Ankobiah
The socialite and girlfriend of rapper, Paedae, graduated from the Ghana
Law School and was called to the bar in 2013. She’s now a practicing lawyer.

Grace Ashy
Gospel musician, Grace Ashy attended Methodist University College and
run into a couple of issues. As it stands, we cannot tell whether she’s
completed her course because she was suspended in 2014 for two
semesters after she was caught cheating in an end-of-semester exam. She
came out to deny but the school insisted that the information was true.
5. Okyeame Kwame
He completed KNUST in 2010 with a BSc. Honors in modern languages (Akan
option). He didn’t stop there but went further to continue. He’s currently
pursuing his Masters Degree at the University of Ghana. All this whiles he’s
still actively involved in music.
6. Bukom Banku
His violent nature apparently started a long time ago. According to the
boxer, he got sacked from school at JSS 1 when he gave his teacher some punches for misbehaving.
This is what brought his formal education to an abrupt end.
7. Kaakie
In 2014, news got out that the dancehall queen had failed her exams at the University of Ghana where she
was studying Nursing due to failures in two modules of the course and therefore
couldn’t graduate. The good news, however, is that she finally graduated in
2015 with a BSC Midwifery degree.
8. Kalybos
Comic actor, Richard Asante, known popularly as Kalybos of “Boys Kasa” fame, graduated from the National Filmand Television Institute (NAFTI) in April this year. He
graduated with a Second Class lower in Cinematography but still won best student in Cinematography.
9. Flowking Stone
The brother of Okyeame Kwame and Kunta Kinte, graduated from the Kwame
Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2007 with a BSc
Bio-chemistry degree. He is a practicing Bio-chemist.
10. Kunta Kinte
He started schooling at the University of Ghana and everything was going
well until he got struck with stroke. This was 6 years ago. The musician,
therefore, couldn’t continue his education as he got bedridden and was told he
wouldn’t be able to walk again. Through efforts and determination, he’s been
able to walk and can do things on his own
