 The former international and Africa Cup of Nations winning player and coach, 54, suddenly died from cardiac arrest in the early hours of Wednesday, June 8 in Benin City.
His death came few months after he lost Kate, his wife of 35 years, to cancer.

John Obi Mikel denies media report for giving Nigeria teammates $30,000

Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel has denied media reports that he donated $30,000 to assist his cash-strapped teammates in the country's Olympics team.
The Nigeria under-23 squad, together with select overage players like Mikel, are training in Atlanta ahead of next month's Olympics in Brazil.
Reports on Thursday claimed that Mikel had pitched in with the money to assist the team, but the Chelsea star told ESPN FC there was no truth to them.

West Ham to sign Ghana and Swansea star Andre Ayew for £16 million

Christiano Ronaldo described the Champions League final as “a fantastic night” after he scored the winning penalty as Real Madrid won the European Cup for the 11th time with a 5-3 penalty shootout victory over their city rivals Atlético at San Siro.
Sergio Ramos tapped Gareth Bale’s flick home from close range after 15 minutes. Early in the second half, Antoine Griezmann struck a penalty for Atlético against the bar but the Belgium winger Yannick Carrasco levelled after 80 minutes to see the scores level at 1-1 before a goalless extra-time period.

Patrick Ekeng, Cameroonian midfielder died in hospital after collapsing on field


Cameroonian midfielder Patrick Ekeng has died in the hospital at age 26 after collapsing on the field on Friday. 
A hospital spokesperson and the club doctor of Dinamo Bucharest confirmed the midfielder’s death.
Ekeng who is survived by his wife was transported to a hospital located close to the Stadionul Dinamo in an ambulance.
Whilst local media stated that Ekeng suffered a heart attack, the Romanian media said Patrick Ekeng collapsed seven minutes after being introduced into the game against FC Viitorul as a substitute.
