Hours after it was reported that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting their third child, sources told TMZ that their surrogate is pregnant with a girl. The couple has yet to confirm the news, but Kim recently told the Hollywood Reporter she and Ye "we're definitely trying" for baby No. 3

If keeping track of celebrity children is your nirvana, I have some good news for you. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby is on the way, and it's expected to arrive in January 2018.

This exclusive "report" comes from TMZ, who say their sources have told them something that was already apparent using basic math. Given that we found out in late July that the couple's surrogate was three months pregnant—and that was a real scoop from TMZ—you could have estimated a due date range by, you know, just looking at a calendar and knowing how long typical pregnancies last. There are plenty of potential angles to break on this story, like the gender of the baby or the possible baby names lined up, but this is mostly confirmation of something we already knew.

But if you're less cynical than I am, this does also mean that everything is on schedule and going as planned. That is certainly good news because although Kim and Kanye's surrogate is reportedly being paid a nice chunk of change to follow a specific set of guidelines, there are always potential pregnancy complications to deal with. Even if you don't really care about the news, you can be happy that the West family is on track for a safe, healthy birth so far.

As a friendly reminder, the surrogate carrying Kanye and Kim's child is making around $45,000 for her "work." There are definitely some consequences and limitations, as a result, the usual items like alcohol and smoking are off limits, and caffeine consumption is restricted but since the surrogate is far from bedridden for most of the pregnancy, she can continue to collect that check and hustle in her free time. Not a bad gig if you can get it.
