You can copy our policies if you like – Asiedu Nketia to NPP

Reacting to allegations by the NPP that the NDC has stolen ideas from the NPP’s manifesto, Mr. Asiedu Nketia said the NDC since its inception in 1992 have been social democrats thus would not steal ideas from a party which prides itself to be capitalists.
“It is just impossible to claim that we are stealing ideas from a capitalist manifesto which has not even been launched. I think NPP and their founder lacks ideas and so they are free to copy our policies and stop accusing us” he stated.
President John Mahama on Tuesday presented highlights of the NDC’s 2016 manifesto prior to the official launch on Saturday.
He has subsequently been accused by the NPP of copying their policy ideas, especially, plans for the provision of some social amenities.
Addressing some chiefs of the Ga Traditional Council on Thursday, the President said because the NPP is yet to outdoor it's 2016 manifesto, it cannot be said that the NDC has stolen its manifesto ideas.
But the party’s chief scribe in an interview on Accra-based Okay FM indicated that Nana Akufo-Addo’s promises are only to lure the public to vote for the NPP.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia maintained that the NPP has enough time to adopt some policies of the NDC since it will be launching its manifesto on October 8.
