NPP’s promise of change is scary as Tornado – Ghana’s Vice President

Amissah-Arthur
The ruling party (NDC) running mate for the 2016 elections, Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, believes the opposition New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) promise of change is a threat to the nation’s peace and stability.
Speaking at the launch of the NDC’s campaign at Cape Coast in the Central Region, Vice President Amissah-Arthur described the NPP and their ‘ change is coming’ mantra as a danger to the nation.

“Every opposition party will talk about change so change for an opposition party is normal, but this change they are talking about is different. They are threatening the people of Ghana with change.”
The Vice President proceeded to liken the Nana Akufo-Addo-led NPP’s campaign to the scare tactics employed by parents which are “like Kaaka Motobi by the old people for the young people to run away.”
The change they are talking about, the change is already happening. The change that is permanent, which is transforming Ghana is happening. So why do you go for a change that is a threat to the stability and to peace,” the Veep said.
He thus implored Ghanaians to maintain the more stable pair hands in the flagbearer of the NDC, President John Mahama.

“President Mahama is a safe pair of hands for us in Ghana because he brings stability to our country even as change is taking place. We are getting change, we are getting stability – what more do we want?”
