Actress Selma Blair has been rushed to the hospital after being removed from an international flight Monday.
The actress was taken by
stretcher off of her return flight from Cancun, Mexico to Los Angeles after
allegedly having an outburst on the flight, an official close to the situation
confirms to PEOPLE.
"She was met by paramedics
at LAX as soon as her plane arrived," the source says. "It looks like
she had taken a combination of prescription medication with alcohol. We don't
know what sort of prescription medications."
The source adds that Selma Blair was transported to a local hospital.
Witnesses who were also on the
flight told TMZ that Blair, 43, was seated in first class, enjoying a glass of
wine when she started to cry and talk about fears regarding an unnamed male
.
"He burns my private
parts. He won't let me eat or drink," she reportedly stated. "He
beats me. He's going to kill me."
Afterwards, two nurses who were
on the flight reportedly tended to Selma Blair, checking her bags for pills before
the pilot called ahead to report that a passenger on board was mixing medication
with alcohol, TMZ reports.
A rep for Blair rep did not
immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
According to her Instagram
account, American Crime Story star headed south of the border with her
4-year-old son Arthur Saint for a beachside Father's Day celebration with her
ex Jason Bleick, Arthur's father.
As their plane was departing,
Blair posted a picture of herself and Arthur on Instagram playing with toy
planes.
"We're leaving on a jet
plane. Dad is already asleep," she captioned the photo. "Not for
long. Bwahahaha. #father’s day weekend."
