Ghanaian's Eastern Regional Minister grabs a new husband a month after her divorce.

Eastern Regional Minister, Mavis Ama Frimpong Gets Married to Mr. Gati, the Supposed Owner of the Paradise Resort (VVIP) Under Heavy Security.

There was a heavy security presence in Akyem Afosu today, Saturday, 11th June, 2016 at the engagement ceremony between Miss Mavis Ama Frimpong, the Eastern Regional Minister and Mr.Gati, an NDC financier and the supposed owner of the most expensive highway restaurant, Paradise Resort (VVIP) near Nsutam on the Accra-Kumasi road

It is not too clear why an ordinary marriage ceremony could attract such heavy security presence of both Military and Police in a small town of Akyem Afosu in the New Abirem District in the Eastern Region. One may wonder whether it is because the Minister is hiding the ceremony from or preventing her old rag from disrupting the marriage.

The Minister got divorced from her first marriage under bizarre circumstances surrounded with numerous rumours of immoral acts which may have called for such heavy security presence at her so soon second marriage to a man who was among the men who have been accused of causing the dissolution of Miss Frimpong's first marriage.

The Minister got her divorce certificate just about a month ago.

The wedding has been scheduled to take place at the Pentecost International Worship Center, Sakumono on the 18th of June 2016. It was initially scheduled to take place at the Church of Pentecost in Koforidua.

This change of venue itself has come as a surprise to some members of the Church of Pentecost in Koforidua when they heard that the wedding ceremony initially slated to be held there following the engagement, would rather take place at the Pentecost International Worship Center in Sakumono. “We are almost finishing the preparation for the decoration of the Church auditorium here, only to be told that the wedding will rather be in Sakumono…” a Church member lamented.

Another controversy surrounding the marriage is the involvement of Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the first Vice Chairman of the NDC. On the invitation card, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo is the RSVP for the whole marriage ceremony.

What is his relationship with the Groom? One can recall some time ago about the controversy of the real owner of the Paradise Resort (VVIP) near Nsutam on the Accra-Kumasi highway. It was rumored that the said Paradise Resort belonged to Mr. Ofosu Ampofo and that the real motive for putting up such an expensive Resort so close to Linda Dor Restaurant at Bunso junction was to sabotage Linda Dor Restaurant as they perceived the owner of the restaurant to be an NPP supporter.

Mr. Ampofo on several radio stations at the time refuted the allegation that he was the owner of Paradise Resort and claimed that he had no relationship or even had any knowledge about the owner of the Paradise Resort.

Several days after, a Bank came out and mentioned that one Mr. Gati owned the said Resort through a loan facility from them.

The yet unanswered questions are: Who really owns Paradise Resort? Is it the case of a cover up to deceive the public? Can Elder Ofosu Ampofo be trusted on his denial? Why is the wedding taking place in Pentecost International Worship Center in Sakumono, where Mr. Ampofo is an Elder?

Is this marriage confirming the rumours of marrital unfaithfulness on the part of the Minister?

Or is the Minister setting a new record of the fastest remarriage just about a month after divorce?
