The Akyem Achiase Distrist Police Command has arrested a 32- year old farmer, Yaw Boadi for allegedly murdering his 56 -yearold land lady, Madam Abena Fremah in cold blood at Akyem Osorase near Oda inthe Eastern Region .
Briefing Graphic Online at Akyem Osorase, the Achiase District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) MrErnest Kodjo Dokounon, said the deceased rented a single room apartment to Boadi for over one year.

He said after expiry of the tenancy agreement, the deceased wanted to eject Boadi for stealing a mobile phone belonging to her daughter, a situation that brought a grudge between the two.

The District Commander said police investigations revealed that Boadi murdered the woman in cold blood and took refuge in Osorase town so they arrested him.
He said during investigation, Boadi confessed killing the woman and said he had regretted his action.

ASP Dokuonon said Boadi would be prosecuted as soon as police completed their investigations. Meanwhile, the body of Madam Fremah has been deposited at the morgue of the Oda Government Hospital for autopsy.
