Thomas, 28-year old believed to be mentally challenged has wounded two people at Techiman in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana.
Two of the victims who are said to be in critical condition were rushed to the Techiman Holy Family Hospital for treatment.
The third victim, Sumaila who sustained an injury on the arm has been discharged from the hospital.
The discharged victim, Sumaila said the suspect slit his arm with the machete after he tried to stop him from killing one of the victims.
The suspect according to eyewitness tried to escape after committing the absurd act but was knocked down by a motorbike.
He was arrested by the police and is currently receiving treatment under police watch.
“We have been playing with him, we do not know what came over him,” an eyewitness said.
